I’m very pleased to confirm that we have added two contracted players on loan deals into our set up: Jefferson Aibangbee and Ronald Sithole.
Jefferson will be joining us from Sheppey United after a very successful season last year in which he was a key player; he knows our league very well. Jeff also had a short spell at Step 3 this season, although his loan was cut short due to injury. He is now fit and we will gradually get him back into playing regular football.
A huge thank you to Sheppey United for putting their trust in us and sending Jeff on loan.
As it has already been documented, we have also added Ronald Sithole from Gillingham FC. Ronald is a player who I came across back in the summer. I then followed his progress with the Gills academy where he showed great physical and cognitive maturity in the three games that I watched him play. We managed to agree with Gillingham a month’s loan with the ambition to stretch that further.
In recent days, Mo Cham, Sam Fitzgerald and Michael Uwezu have departed the club. We thank all three of those players who put in a great deal of effort to support us during a time of transition.
Mo has moved on to Kennington and I feel this will be a great move for him, as he is now at a stage where he needs regular senior football.
Sam is experienced and ranked as a senior player and, similar to Mo, he needs to be playing regularly, something which I felt we may not be able to offer for the time being.
Michael has decided to take a break from a long career in football and focus on his ambition of establishing a football academy and whilst he will stay in touch with us, I wish him a great deal of success and thank him.
