Young Striker Stays at The Belmont

Whitstable Town Football Club are delighted to confirm that striker Jack Nelson will remain at the club for the upcoming season.

Jack made his Whitstable debut in November 2025 after joining the club from Rochester United, where he established himself as one of the most prolific young forwards in the SCEFL First Division.
A former scholar at the Dover Athletic academy, Nelson has previously featured for Larkfield & New Hythe, Lydd Town, Snodland Town, Folkestone Invicta and Rochester United, building a strong reputation for goalscoring across Kent football.

Before making the move to The Belmont, Jack played a major role in Rochester United’s push towards the top of the SCEFL First Division, including scoring six goals in a 9-0 victory over Lordswood. He finished as the division’s leading scorer at the time of his move to Whitstable and arrived at the club with an impressive goalscoring pedigree.

A hardworking striker with intelligent movement and a natural eye for goal, Nelson adds depth and energy to Whitstable’s attacking options heading into the new campaign.

Manager Lee Martin said:
“We’re pleased Jack is staying with us.

“He came in from Rochester with a really strong goalscoring record and he’s continued to work hard and develop since joining the club.

“He’s a good character, wants to improve and gives us another strong option going forward. We’re looking forward to working with him again this season.”

Everyone at Whitstable Town is delighted Jack will remain at The Belmont and we look forward to seeing him back in action this season.
