Whitstable Town FC is delighted to confirm that Jake McIntyre has been retained for the 2025/26 season and will continue in his role as club captain.
Jake joined the club in the summer of 2024, linking back up with manager Jamie Coyle, having previously worn the armband under him at Ramsgate. A natural leader and experienced left-sided player, Jake has been a vital figure both on and off the pitch, bringing a winning mentality and setting high standards for those around him.
Throughout the 2024/25 campaign, Jake’s leadership was a driving force behind the squad’s success. He led the team through a sustained unbeaten run in the league, and most memorably, proudly captained the side out at Wembley as we lifted the FA Vase, a historic moment for the club and community.
Manager Jamie Coyle, who has worked with Jake since his academy days at Dartford, has consistently praised his professionalism, experience, and impact within the group.
As we look ahead to the new season, we’re thrilled to have Jake continuing to lead from the front. His commitment to the badge and influence on the pitch will be central to our ambitions as we aim to build on last season’s success.
