Player Profile

How did you get into football?
I first got into football at the age of 7, playing on the pitches in my local area, which then allowed me to be picked up by a Sunday league kids team, and the rest was history.

What teams have you played for?
Godalming Town, Walton and Hersham, Farnham Town, Chatham Town, Kingstonian, Sevenoaks Town.

What is your favourite position?
Right winger, off the shoulders of the last defender

Who is the best player you have played with>
Pshhhhhh… very difficult one but maybe Jack Evans at Chatham - technical ability second to none. I remember a league game, when we got a free kick and I just knew we’d scored already - effortless technique.

Who is the best player you have played against?
I’ve played against a lot of top footballers so it’s hard, but since I’m a winger and I’m always up against full-backs, I’ll just go with a tough full-back and say Chi Ezennolim who just signed for Maidstone. He was a Welling United player at the time I played against him. Very tough, didn’t allow any space, touch tight, left me with a few ankle cuts, good going forward as well – a well-rounded player.

what are your ambitions for the future?
I’m sure every player or most players aim to go pro & that’s the ultimate goal, but if we’re talking short term and for the season ahead, I’d love to perform, excite and score goals in front of the supporters here at Whitstable and ultimately gain promotion, which I’m confident we can achieve together.

What attracted you to play for Marcel?
Marcel made his intentions known pretty much from the jump. He was concrete and laid out his plan and the part I’d play immediately.

Many people in the football community have spoken of Marcel with good words and in today’s game you need to play under someone you can trust and you feel gives you the platform to perform to your fullest and I think we have created a healthy understanding.

He has also been successful in gaining promotion to the Isthmian as assistant manager at Sheppey, which shows that he is capable of winning and as a player you just want to win.
