
Whitstable Town Football Club is recruiting a Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist to join our men’s first-team backroom staff under Jamie Coyle and Matt Longhurst. This is a rare chance to work at the heart of a successful semi-professional non-league environment and make a real impact on player performance and welfare.
The role (Kent-based)
- Provide pitch-side assessment and immediate care at all home & away fixtures.
- Attend 1–2 training sessions per week for assessment, treatment, and rehab planning.
- Lead return-to-play pathways in collaboration with coaching staff.
- Maintain accurate medical notes and manage kit/consumables.
- Liaise with external clinicians when required.
About you:
- Degree (or nearing completion/experience-equivalent) in Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, or Physiotherapy.
- Pitch-side trauma/first aid certification (e.g., FA ATMMiF or equivalent) — or willingness to obtain quickly.
- Confident with assessment, taping/strapping, soft-tissue techniques, and basic rehab programming.
- Professional, reliable, and comfortable working in a match-day environment and travelling with the team.
Commitment & remuneration:
Matches: Saturdays and midweeks as scheduled.
Training: 1–2 evenings per week.
Pay: This is a paid role (rate commensurate with experience).
Travel expenses and consumables are covered — details confirmed during the interview.
