Whitstable Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Perri Iandolo ahead of the new season.
Perri arrives at The Belmont after spending last season with Lewes, adding another exciting technical option to Lee Martin’s squad ahead of the new campaign.
A composed and intelligent midfielder, Perri is known for his quality in possession, ability to link play and his forward-thinking approach in midfield. Comfortable receiving the ball under pressure, he has the technical ability to control the tempo of a game, thread passes through the lines and help drive attacks from deeper areas.
Perri came through the Maidstone United academy system, where he developed a strong reputation as a technically gifted midfielder before progressing into the club’s first-team setup and earning a senior contract. During his time with Maidstone, he was also part of the squad that famously defeated Ipswich Town 2-1 in the FA Cup.
Following his time at Maidstone, Perri gained further senior experience with spells at Hemel Hempstead, AFC Totton, Hayes & Yeading and most recently Lewes, continuing his development at a strong level of non-league football.
Manager Lee Martin said:
“Perri is a player we’re really excited to bring in.
“Technically, he’s excellent. He’s comfortable on the ball, sees the game well and has the ability to link play and get us moving forward quickly.
“He’s the type of midfielder who can control the tempo, pick passes through the lines and help us keep possession in the right areas of the pitch.
“He’s had a really good grounding through the Maidstone setup, has already picked up good senior experience and we’re delighted to welcome him to Whitstable.”
Everyone at Whitstable Town would like to welcome Perri to The Belmont and wish him every success in an Oysters shirt.
