Come and join us for a stroll along the promenade to help to raise awareness for those living with dementia and hidden disabilities. If you are part of a team, we’d also love to see you! We want the event to be truly accessible to all and all family members including dogs are welcome. The walk can be taken as slowly and leisurely as needed. Fancy dress is optional but encouraged. Perhaps you'd like to wear blue for dementia or yellow for hidden disabilities.

Register via the QR code or at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/promenade-for-dementia-tickets-338184758717. Fundraising is optional and sponsorships can be added to the event Just Giving page or collected on the day. Any funds raised for the event will be put towards future dementia awareness activities. The Dementia Action Alliance Canterbury and Ashford is a community organisation made up of residents, public, private and voluntary organisations to improve the lives of locals living with dementia. They also focus on the wider, hidden illnesses that those living with dementia are also often affected by. This includes mental health, sensory issues, vision impairment, hearing loss, physical and learning disabilities.

With thanks to Kent County Council and Alzheimer's Society for their support. This event is managed by Social Enterprise Kent CIC on behalf of Dementia Action Alliance Canterbury and Ashford.

Can you help on the day?
We would also welcome volunteers to support the event in a variety of roles. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Heather on telephone number 01843 210005 or by email at h.biddles@sekgroup.org.uk for further information.
