After spending much of last season travelling, Robbie now returns to The Belmont and gives the squad another huge boost ahead of the new campaign. A popular figure around the club, Rees brings quality, experience and energy both on and off the pitch.

A technically gifted and energetic midfielder, Robbie played a major role during the club’s memorable FA Vase-winning campaign the season before last. His introduction in the final at Wembley proved to be a turning point in the match, helping change the momentum as Whitstable Town came from behind to defeat AFC Whyteleafe 2-1 after extra time and lift the FA Vase for the first time in the club’s history.

Having remained close to the club during his time away, Robbie now returns refreshed and ready for the new season as preparations continue at The Belmont.

“Getting Robbie back involved is a massive positive for us.

“Everyone knows the quality he has and what he can bring to the side. He was a huge part of the Vase-winning group and his impact in the final at Wembley showed exactly the type of player he is.

“He’s a great lad around the dressing room, works hard and gives us real energy in midfield. We’re delighted he’s staying with us and I’m looking forward to seeing him back out there this season.”
