Thank you to everyone who attended our end of season awards presentation evening in the Whitstable Town FC clubhouse on Saturday evening. The well attended event was an enjoyable conclusion to the 2022-23 season for the first team and it was great to see so many there, including our players, sponsors, coaches, staff and supporters.

Following an introduction by chairman Steve Clayton, the evening was hosted by Ben Jennings.

Tom Mills was the first to collect an award, chosen by the players. Josh Oliver then collected the next three. The supporters chose Josh as their player of the season in a closely contested online vote. Josh also won the Golden Boot, having finished top scorer with 14 goals, and another online vote resulted in his being selected as the “goal of the season”. The directors nominated Will Thomas for their player award and “kitman” Ada Hubbard was recognised for all of his tireless work around the club. Ada was unable to attend, so another valued member of the backroom team, Ben Maci, accepted the award on Ada’s behalf.

Manager Marcel Nimani was then joined by his management team and presented the last two awards. Jefferson Aibangbee was the choice for the manager’s player and George Sheminant was named as young player of the season.

Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you again to everyone who helped to make the evening a success, including Richard Baines of City Awards for his assistance with the provision of the trophies.
