Tomorrow afternoon, 26th February, Whitstable Town are on the road once more, to face a resurgent Three Bridges side in the South-East Isthmian league, matchday 29 of 38.
For those fans going to the game, if you’re driving the address is Jubilee Walk, Three Bridges Road, Three Bridges, Crawley RH10 1LQ. For those using public transport Three Bridges train station is 0.3 miles and a 2-minute walk away.
The reverse fixture was played out earlier in the season during October, with Harry Goodger on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw from the spot.
Fast forward to February and an important match on the road for Whitstable as they attempt to reduce the deficit on those above them in a bid for survival. With only two goals scored in the league since mid-January, there may be cause for concern.
However, Charlie Heatley, a new signing who scored on his debut last weekend will be hoping to change that. Heatley left Barking as the top scorer this season before moving to the North Kent team. A further two new signings in George Monger and Mohammed Kamara will also be on call to rectify Whitstable’s dip in form.
Three Bridges however will provide a stern test for the Kent-based side having lost only three of their last ten games in the league, but despite this form, the West Sussex side have conceded 21 goals. However, a consistent number of goals from Gayler and Perry, have kept Three Bridges in the middle of the pack.
Some comfort for those travelling fans, Whitstable Town’s last three league matches have left them undefeated against their opposition.
