Whitstable Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Tom Beere ahead of the new season.
Beere arrives at The Belmont with a wealth of experience, having enjoyed a distinguished career in both the Football League and non-league game.
A product of the Millwall academy, Tom went on to make 30 first-team appearances for AFC Wimbledon, scoring in the club’s successful League Two play-off campaign before establishing himself as a highly respected midfielder in non-league football.
Since leaving the professional game, Beere has featured for a number of clubs including Tonbridge Angels, Carshalton Athletic, Cray Wanderers and most recently Cray Valley PM, where he enjoyed another strong campaign from midfield.
Known for his technical ability, creativity and intelligence on the ball, Beere is capable of dictating the tempo of a game, linking play between midfield and attack and contributing goals from midfield. His experience and leadership qualities will be a valuable addition to Lee Martin’s squad ahead of the new campaign.
Manager Lee Martin said:
"Tom is a fantastic signing for the football club.
"He brings a huge amount of experience and quality, and he's a player who has consistently performed at a very good level throughout his career.
"Technically he's excellent, he sees the game well and he's someone who can make things happen for us in the final third.
"We're delighted to bring him to Whitstable and I'm looking forward to working with him this season."
Everyone at Whitstable Town would like to welcome Tom to The Belmont and wish him every success in an Oysters shirt.
