Whitstable Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Tom Hanfrey ahead of the new season.
Hanfrey arrives at The Belmont with a wealth of experience at Step 3 and Step 4 level, adding quality and versatility to Lee Martin’s squad.
A product of the AFC Bournemouth academy, Tom developed through the club's youth system before making the transition into senior football. A left-sided defender who can also operate further forward, he combines experience, athleticism and versatility with a strong understanding of the non-league game.
During his career, Hanfrey has represented clubs including Concord Rangers, Tonbridge Angels, Cray Wanderers, FC Romania, Sheppey United, Sittingbourne, Enfield, Herne Bay, Carshalton Athletic and most recently Sevenoaks Town, building a strong reputation across the Isthmian and Southern League levels.
Manager Lee Martin said:
"Tom is a player we're delighted to bring to the club.
"He brings experience, versatility and a real understanding of the level. He's someone who can play in a number of positions and gives us great competition in the squad.
"He's got a good pedigree from his time at Bournemouth and has picked up plenty of experience throughout non-league football.
"We're looking forward to working with him and seeing what he can bring to Whitstable this season."
Everyone at Whitstable Town would like to welcome Tom to The Belmont and wish him every success in an Oysters shirt.
