Whitstable Town delighted to welcome Corey Panter

Whitstable Town Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Corey Panter.

The 25-year-old arrives at the Belmont with an impressive pedigree and a wealth of experience from considerably higher up the football pyramid, having most recently represented Dagenham & Redbridge in National League South.

A left-footed defender who can operate at centre-back or left-back, Corey came through the academy at Luton Town, spending more than a decade with the Hatters after joining the club at the age of nine.

During his time with Luton, Corey gained senior experience through loan spells with Hendon and Biggleswade Town before making the move north of the border to Scottish Premiership side Dundee. He scored on his Dundee debut in the Scottish League Cup before later making his Premiership debut away at Aberdeen.

A further loan spell with Kidderminster Harriers followed before Corey left Luton to join National League side Eastleigh in the summer of 2022. He went on to spend three seasons with the Spitfires, making more than 50 appearances and also spending time on loan with Weymouth.

Corey joined Dagenham & Redbridge ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, adding another season of football at a significantly higher level to an already impressive CV.

Quick, aggressive and comfortable in possession, Corey adds further quality and versatility to Lee Martin’s defensive options and arrives at the Belmont with extensive experience despite still being only 25.

First Team Manager Lee Martin said:

“Corey is a massive signing for us and we’re delighted to get him in. He’s played the majority of his football much higher up the pyramid and that experience and pedigree speaks for itself.

He’s quick, aggressive, comfortable on the ball and gives us real versatility across the back line. He’s exactly the type of player and character we want to bring into the group.

To get someone of Corey’s quality at this stage of his career is fantastic for the football club and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

Everyone at Whitstable Town would like to welcome Corey to the Belmont and wish him every success in an Oystermen shirt.
