Whitstable Town Confirm Two-Year Contract Extensions for Jamie Coyle and Matt Longhurst

Whitstable Town Football Club is delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached with First Team Manager Jamie Coyle and Assistant Manager Matt Longhurst to extend their contracts for a further two years.

The agreement provides important continuity as the Club continues to build on a remarkable period of progress both on and off the pitch.
Since arriving at the Club, Jamie and Matt have played a central role in driving standards, building a strong and committed squad, and delivering success that will live long in the memory of everyone connected with Whitstable Town. Their leadership has helped bring major honours, memorable cup runs and, most importantly, a renewed belief and ambition around The Belmont.

The Club believes this extension is a clear statement of intent as Whitstable Town looks ahead to the next chapter of its journey, with a continued focus on sustainable growth, player development, community engagement and further progress through the football pyramid.

Chairman Steve Clayton said:
“Agreeing new two-year deals with Jamie and Matt is a significant and very positive step for the Club. What they have achieved, together with the players and staff, has been outstanding, but just as importantly they understand what Whitstable Town is about.

“They have bought into the values of the Club, the importance of doing things properly, and the need to build in a sustainable way. The success we have enjoyed has not happened by accident; it has come through hard work, commitment and a shared belief in where this Club can go.

“As Chairman, I am delighted that we now have that continuity in place. Jamie and Matt have earned the opportunity to continue the work they have started, and we are excited about what the next two years can bring.”

First Team Manager Jamie Coyle said:
“I am really pleased to have agreed a new two-year contract with the Club. Whitstable Town is a special football club, and from the moment I came in I have felt the ambition, passion and support from everyone involved.

“We have had some fantastic moments together, but we are not standing still. The challenge now is to keep improving, keep raising standards and make sure we continue to move the Club forward.

“I want to thank the Chairman, the Board, the supporters, the players and all the staff for their backing. Matt and I are fully committed to the project here, and we are excited for what lies ahead.”

Assistant Manager Matt Longhurst said:
“I am delighted to be continuing at Whitstable Town for another two years. It has been a brilliant journey so far, and there is a real togetherness at the Club that makes it a great place to work.

“The players have been outstanding in their attitude and commitment, and the support we receive from the fans, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes makes a huge difference.

“There is still a lot we want to achieve. Jamie and I are ambitious, the Club is ambitious, and we are looking forward to continuing the work and helping Whitstable Town take the next steps forward.”

The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Jamie and Matt for their continued commitment and looks forward to working with them as planning continues for the seasons ahead.
