Whitstable Town FC Youth Update

The latest information regarding Whitstable Town FC Youth - published 17 March 2020

Good morning everyone.

There is obviously only one topic on everyone’s minds at the moment.

Following the announcement made by the government yesterday, and the subsequent statement issued by the FA, all grassroots football has now been suspended until further notice. This means there will be no matches or training sessions under the banner of Whitstable Town FC Youth for the foreseeable future.

We know this will be hugely disappointing news to all our players, as it is to our managers, coaches and club officials but we operate under, and must follow, the guidance of the FA. Ultimately the health and safety of our players, their families and our incredible group of volunteers is paramount. Perhaps even more important, in this unprecedented time, is the protection of the vulnerable in our society by reducing/stopping unnecessary gatherings which offer an opportunity for the virus to spread.

We plan to issue some fun football ‘homework’ in the form of skills challenges to all players during our period of enforced group inactivity so they can keep active at home. More on that to follow.

When we have any further updates for you we will pass them on via Pitchero.

Thank you for your understanding.
