A spirited Walking Football Tournament took place at Whitstable Town Football Club, bringing together six enthusiastic teams for a day of camaraderie, competition, and community.
The event welcomed two teams from Maulden (Bedfordshire), two representing Whitstable, and sides from Ramsgate and Margate. Each team competed in five matches in a round-robin format, with plenty of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display throughout the day.
After a tightly contested series of games, Maulden Orange were crowned overall winners, showcasing consistency, flair, and determination to take the top spot.
But the day wasn’t just about football. Held in memory of loved ones lost, the tournament raised funds for Pilgrims Hospice, demonstrating the power of sport to unite people for a greater cause.
A special thanks goes to all those within the club for supporting an event that combined competition with compassion.
Congratulations to all teams involved, and especially to Maulden Orange on their well-deserved win!
