Whitstable Town FC is pleased to confirm the retention of Will Thomas for the upcoming season, continuing a journey that has seen him become one of the most trusted and respected figures at The Belmont.
Since joining the club in October 2020, Thomas has displayed unwavering loyalty, remaining committed through every challenge and milestone. As the longest-serving player in the current squad, his consistent presence is a testament to both his character and his value to the team.
With over 150 appearances to his name, Thomas has become a central figure in the heart of Whitstable’s defence. His experience, composure, and leadership continue to play a vital role both on the pitch and in the dressing room, where he sets an example for younger players and new signings alike.
Joint managers Jamie Coyle and Matt Longhurst will be delighted to have Will on board for another season, knowing they can count on his reliability, professionalism, and deep understanding of the club’s identity.
As Whitstable prepare for the new campaign under their guidance, Thomas’s retention provides not only defensive strength but also continuity and stability. His loyalty to the club is widely recognised and deeply appreciated by players, staff, and supporters.
Welcome back, Will.
