Whitstable Town Football Club recently welcomed players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters to our annual Youth Awards Day, celebrating another fantastic season for our growing youth section.
The event recognised the achievements, commitment and development of players across all age groups, from our youngest Under-7s through to our Under-18s. While individual awards and team successes were celebrated, the day was also about recognising the journey every player has taken and the positive impact football continues to have on young people across our community.
The day was filled with smiles, celebrations and plenty of football, with players taking part in small-sided games between teams throughout the event. These matches gave players from different age groups the chance to enjoy themselves, showcase their skills and celebrate the season together in a relaxed and positive environment.
At Whitstable Town Football Club, we are proud to be building clear pathways for players to develop and enjoy the game throughout their youth football journey. With opportunities for both boys and girls, the club continues to grow, providing a structured and supportive environment where players can learn, improve and progress through the age groups while representing the same club from their earliest years through to adulthood.
Our vision is not simply about results on the pitch. It is about developing confident young people, creating lifelong friendships and providing opportunities for players to fulfil their potential both in football and beyond. The pathway now in place from Under-7s through to Under-18s demonstrates the club’s commitment to long-term player development and creating opportunities for future generations.
None of this would be possible without the incredible work of our coaches and volunteers. Throughout the season, they dedicate countless hours to planning sessions, organising fixtures, supporting players and ensuring every team has the opportunity to thrive. Their passion and commitment are the foundations on which our youth section continues to grow and succeed.
The club would also like to thank all parents, guardians and supporters who play such a vital role throughout the year. From travelling to matches and supporting on the sidelines, to helping with club events and fundraising activities, their contribution helps make Whitstable Town Football Club the community-focused club it is today.
Most importantly, Youth Awards Day highlighted the enjoyment that football brings to so many young people. Seeing players of all ages celebrating together, taking part in friendly matches and supporting one another was a reminder of the positive culture across the club and the exciting future that lies ahead.
As we look towards next season, we remain committed to strengthening our pathways, supporting our coaches and volunteers, and continuing to provide opportunities for boys and girls to develop, compete and enjoy football in a welcoming and ambitious environment.
Congratulations to all of our award winners and to every player who wore the Whitstable Town badge with pride this season. We look forward to seeing the continued growth of our youth section and building on another successful year for the club.
