Whitstable Town U9s v Thanet United

An 11am kick off at Radfall, saw us play a young Thanet United team. Nine lads in the match day squad with Alfie unavailable.

Starting with: Louis in goal, Kasper and Max B in defence. Daylee in centre mid. Max P and Flynn wide and Otis up front. Harry and Fin rotating from the bench.

Despite the late start a good Thanet team caught us napping and we found ourselves three down after ten minutes. A couple of changes and we managed to stem the flow of goals and regain our shape.

Otis was made captain following a great attitude in training and he battled well up front to pick up a Daylee pass and fire in a great first goal for the club!

The second half showed more spirit from the boys, Louis pulled off some great saves. Flynn and Harry held the defence, Daylee offered great energy, Max P and Fin made some strong fully committed tackles. Kasper, Otis and Max B were always a threat going forward.

It was really pleasing to see us turn things around in terms of the performance and we got a second deserved goal when a Kasper throw was passed on by Harry to Max B, who stuck a great shot to the keepers near post for his first Whitstable Town goal.

Some great positives to take from the match against a very good Thanet United side. Well done boys!
