Whitstable Town FC U10 girls away to Sittingbourne 06.10.19
It was a morning of some drama before we even got on to the pitch due to the wet weather - after an 8.00 am pitch inspection the game was on, then it was called off, then it was back on again. Many thanks to Tony, the Sittingbourne manager, for his efforts to ensure we played in the end, as we would have all been disappointed otherwise. The rain held off, luckily, for the game.
Our team embraced playing in a new formation that gave us more attacking options. Several players tried out a different position and all adapted superbly to this. Ursula was player of the match for clearing her lines so well and Isabel, our amazing keeper, was the opposition's player of the match for the third week in a row.
We are a team in its first season playing against teams in their second season, learning and improving with every game and, as the photo shows, just loving football!
