Whitstable town Vs Castle Colts

Whitstable U10s girls hosted Castle Colts on a crisp Sunday morning.
Whitstable started well with some good attacking play from Harmani, testing the Colts goalkeeper with a couple of powerful shots. However, it was Castle Colts who took the lead in the first half. Whitstable got a goal back after some good work by Harmani as she put in a cross that Anabelle finished nicely.
This was a tight game between two evenly matched sides. Whitstable had some good chances in the second half as Grace, Chloe and Maddie all had shots on target. Our defence was standing firm as Olivia G, Olivia M and Rose all made important tackles. It was Castle Colts who took the lead after a long throw in was deflected into our goal. Olivia M then went on a run beating about 4 players, setting the tone and momentum to get Whitstable back in the game. It was Anabelle again who scored the equaliser and despite some more good play from the team, Whitstable just couldn’t find another goal. A great game to watch between two even teams. Player of the match went to Rose who only joined the team this season. Rose showed great determination and tackled anything that moved!
