Whitstable Town v Medway Town

Now well into the swing of Sunday Morning football, Whitstable Town Under 9 Girls, lined up away to Medway Town.
Straight from the whistle Whitstable came out strong, and despite an early Medway goal continued to battle hard.
Lois was subbed on, and with some incredible footwork and confidence on the ball, brought the score line level very quickly.
Flora remained solid in midfield, repeatedly winning the ball from any Medway advances and fed the ball forwards to Lois who was able to score another goal before half time.
Any chances Medway did have before the half time whistle were dealt with easily, with steady defending from Ottoline, and Eve who showed great courage and grit in her new role as keeper.
Medway kicked off the second half, and got lucky with a shot from far out, bringing the score level. Whitstable responded well with Sadie showing great determination and Rosie making use of space and running the wing, which left space for Lois to score again.
Both teams performed really well in an exciting and well matched game.
