Whitstable Town v Medway Town

On a beautiful sunny Remembrance Sunday morning the girls lined up for a minute silence.
From the moment the whistle blow we pressed hard keeping the play in their half.
Feeling more confident in goal after some goal keeper training this week Rosie made some excellent saves and didn’t crack under pressure, despite any nerves she may have had.
The first half was tough and the girls played hard keeping possession and with good movement on the ball. We created many opportunities with Flora’s recent growth in confidence allowing her to make some very good decisions and a shot on target.
The mighty Ottoline was a force to be reckoned with in defence. She demonstrated the ability to both press forward to score a goal and return to defend.
Winning the ball from the half way line our youngest player, Lois, drove the ball down taking a power shot from outside the box for the final goal before the half time whistle.
Beginning the second half, Medway Town came out strong with some changes to their team at half time. We continued to press the play in their half. Whitstable did well against a slightly more physical approach by the opposition maintaining a fair game.
Later there was a scrabble around in the goal mouth with many players, however Izzy managed to get a foot to the ball scoring another goal.
