The New Defence
Isthmian League South East Division
Whitstable Town are back on the road on Tuesday evening as the Oystermen make the journey to Surrey to face Horley Town in the Isthmian League South East Division.
Lee Martin's side head into the fixture in outstanding form, having won their last eight matches in a row. Following another positive result at the weekend, Whitstable will be looking to extend that impressive run and bring another three points back to the Belmont.
The Oystermen have been enjoying an excellent spell, with eight consecutive victories providing plenty of confidence throughout the squad.
The challenge now is to maintain those standards and ensure the momentum continues. Tuesday offers another opportunity to demonstrate the consistency and determination that have driven this winning run.
With the season continuing to take shape, every point matters, and Whitstable will be determined to keep their foot on the gas.
Horley Town, nicknamed The Clarets, were established in 1896 and have a long history within Surrey football.
The club enjoyed success in the Surrey Senior League, winning the title in 1976/77, before competing in a number of regional leagues over the following decades.
More recently, Horley secured promotion to Step 4 through the Combined Counties League Premier Division South play-offs at the end of the 2025/26 season, earning their place in the Isthmian League.
They play their home matches at The New Defence, having moved to the ground in September 2003.
Horley head into Tuesday's fixture looking to turn their fortunes around. Their league record currently stands at three wins, one draw and eleven defeats, with six consecutive losses since their last draw against Ashford United.
In contrast, Whitstable arrive in Surrey on an eight-game winning streak and will be full of confidence following their recent performances.
Horley will be desperate to stop their run of defeats, so the Oystermen must be ready for a determined response from the home side. The focus will be on taking control of the game, imposing our style and making sure the winning run continues.
Tuesday's fixture offers another chance for Whitstable to continue their excellent progress and give the travelling supporters something to get behind.
The players will appreciate the backing of those making the journey to Surrey, and we hope to see plenty of Oysters supporters making the trip.
