The YMS Stadium
Isthmian League South East Division
The Oystermen return to Saturday afternoon football at the YMS Stadium this weekend as Steyning Town make the journey to the Belmont for another important league fixture.
Whitstable head into the game full of confidence after back-to-back league victories against Broadbridge Heath and AFC Croydon Athletic, with Lee Martin's side looking to make it three wins in a row and continue climbing the South East Division table.
Tuesday evening brought another positive result under the lights at the Belmont.
Goals from Dean Grant and Robbie Rees secured a 2-0 victory over AFC Croydon Athletic, giving Whitstable consecutive league wins and a clean sheet to build upon.
The challenge now is to carry that momentum into the weekend and make home advantage count once again.
With the season continuing to take shape, every point matters, and the Oystermen will be determined to keep their recent run going in front of the home supporters.
Steyning Town Community Football Club, nicknamed The Barrowmen, were established in 1892 and are based in Steyning, West Sussex.
The club has a long history in Sussex football and enjoyed a particularly successful period during the 1980s, winning the Sussex County League Division One title in consecutive seasons in 1984/85 and 1985/86.
More recently, Steyning claimed the Southern Combination Football League Premier Division title in 2023/24, earning promotion to the Isthmian League for the first time. After returning to the Southern Combination Premier Division for 2025/26, they won the title again and secured their return to Step 4 for the current campaign.
The Barrowmen play their home matches at the Peter Humphreys Memorial Ground, also known as The Shooting Field, and are once again competing in the Isthmian League South East Division.
Steyning arrive in Whitstable after beating our neighbours Herne Bay 3-4 on Saturday and Faversham 3-2 at their place. However Tuesday saw them defeated 7-0 by Broadbridge Heath in the Sussex cup meaning they will be keep to bounce back with a positive result.
With both sides looking to collect valuable league points, there should be plenty at stake when the teams meet at the Belmont.
Three consecutive league victories have given Whitstable something to build on, but the focus will remain firmly on the next game.
The Oystermen will be looking to bring the same energy, determination and attacking intent that produced results against Broadbridge Heath, Croydon Athletic and Faversham Town.
With the supporters behind them at the YMS Stadium, Saturday presents another opportunity to turn recent progress into a sustained run of positive results.
Saturday football returns to the YMS Stadium, and supporters are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the full matchday experience.
The Scoreboard Shack will be open serving hot food, while the clubhouse and bars will be open for supporters to enjoy a selection of drinks.

"The last three league results have been really positive for us, and it's important that we build on them now.
"Steyning will be a tough test. They've shown they can score goals, and we'll need to be organised, work hard for each other and make sure we're at our best.
"We want to make the most of being at home and give our supporters another performance to get behind. The backing we've had has been fantastic, and we'll be looking to reward that with another good result.
"We know we have to keep working hard and take each game as it comes. Saturday is the next opportunity for us, and we'll be doing everything we can to get the three points."
The Oystermen return to the Belmont looking to extend their winning run and continue their climb up the league table.
