The YMS Stadium
Isthmian League South East Division
The Oystermen return to the YMS Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Erith Town make the journey to Whitstable for an important league fixture between two sides looking to maintain their momentum in the Isthmian League South East Division.
With both clubs enjoying positive spells of form, the meeting promises to be a competitive afternoon at the Belmont, with valuable points at stake as the league table continues to take shape.
Alongside the action on the pitch, Saturday's fixture will also provide an opportunity for supporters to help an important local cause, with a bucket collection taking place in aid of Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex.
The Oystermen have enjoyed an encouraging run of results in recent weeks, with a series of victories helping Lee Martin's side climb the league table.
Whitstable will be looking to carry that form into Saturday's fixture and make home advantage count once again, with the backing of the Belmont faithful set to play its part.
Erith Town arrive as one of the division's competitive sides and will provide a stern test for the Oystermen.
With the season progressing and the league table becoming increasingly important, Saturday offers another opportunity for Whitstable to continue building on their recent performances.
Known as The Dockers, Erith Town were established in 1959 and play their home matches at Bayliss Avenue.
The club has steadily progressed through the non-league pyramid and has established itself in the Isthmian League South East Division.
Erith are familiar opponents for the Oystermen, with both clubs competing in the same division and sharing the challenge of a demanding league campaign.
Saturday's meeting brings the two sides together at the Belmont, where Whitstable will be looking to use home advantage to secure another positive result.
Erith Town's quality means the Oystermen will need to be at their best across the afternoon.
Whitstable will be looking to combine the attacking threat and determination that have helped them pick up important results with the discipline required to keep a dangerous opposition at bay.
With the supporters behind them, the Oystermen will be determined to put in another strong performance and give everyone at the YMS Stadium something to get behind.
Saturday's fixture will also have a special fundraising focus, as Andy Constable and a small team of volunteers visit the YMS Stadium to collect donations for Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS).
Andy is a former patient of the charity after suffering life-changing injuries in an accident in 2021. Following the incident, he was flown to King's College Hospital for specialist treatment, and he has since dedicated much of his time to raising money and awareness for the service that helped save his life.
Earlier this year, Andy took on an extraordinary challenge alongside friends and family, walking 67 miles in 24 hours from King's College Hospital in London to Minnis Bay in Kent. The distance reflected the journey made by the air ambulance following his accident.
His fundraising efforts have also included a golf day and collections at football grounds across the region, bringing together the football community in support of a vital emergency service.
Andy is now approaching the £20,000 mark in his fundraising efforts for the year, and Saturday's collection at Whitstable Town is another important step towards that milestone.
A team of three or four collectors is expected to be around the ground before kick-off, with supporters encouraged to give generously if they are able to do so.
Every donation, however large or small, will help support Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex and the vital work it carries out across our region.
Please look out for Andy and the collection team when you arrive at the Belmont and give them your support.
Saturday football returns to the YMS Stadium, and supporters are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the full matchday experience.
The Scoreboard Shack will be open serving hot food, while the clubhouse and bars will be open for supporters to enjoy a selection of drinks.
Belmont Bites is also back open following investment and improvements, including new equipment and container units designed to improve efficiency and enhance the matchday offering.
Arrive early, enjoy the atmosphere, support Andy's fundraising collection and get behind the Oystermen as we look to secure another important league result.
