With just over a quarter of the current season remaining, Whitstable manager Keith McMahon is working hard to strengthen the squad as we try to gain the points required to climb away from the foot of the table. The team that played against Ashford United included three new signings and here is a little background on those players.

Charlie Heatley
Charlie, who scored on his Whitstable debut, is a proven goal scorer at this level and joins us from Isthmian North Division club Barking, where he was enjoying a good run of form. He joined Barking at the start of the season from Frenford of the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Football League. His previous clubs also include FC Hamlets and Mile End.

Mohammed (Mo) Kamara
Mo is a strong central defender, who has plenty of experience in the Isthmian League. His previous clubs include Ashford United, Herne Bay, Margate and Whitehawk, where he has been playing this season.

George Monger
George Monger is an experienced central midfielder who has previously played for Keith at Thamesmead Town and VCD Athletic. George has also played for Dartford, Faversham Town, Ramsgate and most recently, Sittingbourne.
