One in and one out this week at Whitstable

Whitstable Town manager Lloyd Blackman has announced one new signing, whilst another player has left the club this week. He had this to say on the changes:

“Sadly we say goodbye to Marcus Elliott after speaking to him during the week.
I can’t thank Marcus enough for the work he’s done since I took over here in the summer. He was a very likeable character within the changing room who worked extremely hard, chipping in with some really important goals.
They’re never nice conversations, but I can only praise his attitude and wish Marcus all the very best in the future.”

Marcus has since signed for fellow BetVictor Isthmian South East club Haywards Heath Town and he goes with the best wishes of everyone at the Belmont.

“Positive news is that I’m able to confirm the signing of defender Ollie Rowe.
I was aware of Ollie’s availability a little over a month ago and have had many conversations with him since.
I’m delighted I was able to persuade him to come to the Belmont and he brings real quality to the squad and now competition for places is really high.
Welcome Ollie.”

Ollie is an experienced defender who has played for Eastbourne Borough, Chelmsford City, Lewes, Hastings United, Ashford United and Hythe Town. We look forward to seeing him in a Whitstable shirt.
