More attacking options for manager Lloyd Blackman

Whitstable have completed the signings of two new players ahead of the home game with Haywards Heath. Attacking midfielder John Ufuah has joined the club, having previously played for Leatherhead and Dartford. Marshall Wratten also joins on an initial one month’s loan from Dover Athletic. The 19 year old left winger had loan spells at Margate and Hollands and Blair last season.

Manager Lloyd Blackman gave his thoughts on Friday about the latest additions to his squad:

“I’m delighted to welcome both Marshall Wratten and John Ufuah to the club.

John has started the season at Leatherhead in the division above and will offer us an excellent attacking option. His pace, work ethic and hunger will endear him to the fans and I’m excited to have him with us at Whitstable.

Marshall is extremely well thought of at Dover Athletic, having already featured for them last season in an FA Cup tie at Bury, as well as being included in squads during this campaign. He has initially signed for one month, with a view to extend and I’d like to thank Andy Hessenthaler for making this possible. He is a really exciting prospect who I’ve been monitoring for quite some time, so I’m delighted to have him join us.

I’ll be looking to include both players in the squad for tomorrow’s fixture against Haywards Heath.”
