Whitstable Town FC U11A vs Herne Bay Youth colts AWAY

A bright, windy Sunday afternoon saw the u11A team take on the new Herne Bay Youth colts team on the brand new 4G pitch at the Herne Bay Sports Hub. What a great facility!

Our team were short of 3 of their regular players (including our goalkeeper), so we had called on the services of Hayden from the u10s to bolster the team. Ollie covered goalkeeper duties for the first half of the game and Josh for the second half. The team tried a new formation this week - being new to 9 a side - and certainly having an extra player up front was appreciated by George who scored the team's first 2 goals. Further goals were added in the second half by Ollie, Luca (his first for the team!) and Archie (set up by Jasper playing up front for the first time).

Changes were made in the second half, with Zac moving to cover defensive duties alongside Hayden and Joe, and Luca moved to play up front with George. Charlie and Archie were solid in midfield for the whole game alongside Ollie, and Jasper who also had a spell up front.

Everyone contributed to the good team performance today and things look promising for the rest of the season. The team look forward to welcoming Monkton FC to Radfall next Sunday
