Another change of formation brought a stronger all round performance from the u11A team away to St Margaret’s today.
With Rhys and George unavailable, Hayden from the u10s joined the team again today and along with (man of the match) Joshua held a strong defence. Archie, Joe, Charlie and Jasper all worked very hard in midfield, being strong in tackles and passing the ball around nicely. Zac and Luca worked very hard in their new wing back positions - both specifically picked for their energy and dogged determination. Ollie and Bradley made a nuisance of themselves up front and between them the team could have scored more than half a dozen goals. Joe almost scored when several shots on goal pinballed around but failed to go in the net! And Jasper got stuck in in the goalmouth near the end of the game but his couple of shots were also saved by the opposition keeper. Goals were scored today by Ollie and Archie.
Thomas was a lot more commanding in goal today, coming out and being very brave in the face of determined opposition.
A much better all round performance and we look forward to playing Sturry Kings at home next Sunday.
