Well, just two games left this season and with our current injury list, we had no choice about who to select for a tricky game away at Sheerness, but once again, and to my pleasant surprise as manager, we put in a fantastic effort. If the referee had given the penalty (which he later admitted was a mistake), we might have taken the lead, but this was not to be and then, following a defensive error soon afterwards, we found ourselves 1-0 down. Our lack of a cutting edge up front led to chances being squandered, which came back to haunt us and indeed, following one of our own attacks, they broke away to slot in the second.
This pattern continued during the second half when the whole team put in a gutsy performance, only to eventually lose 7-0.
There is just one game left to play (arguably the hardest of our campaign), against Woodnesborough that will conclude our fixtures for the season. We are away if you fancy coming down - we could do with the support.
