New Season Begins

Well, what's to say on a great day to play football, when we took a strong squad to play our first game in our over 60s league, away to Ramsgate. We had a good start before Ramsgate came on strongly and if it hadn't been for our keeper Paul, we could have found ourselves 3 or 4 goals behind before Shaun managed to net to give us the lead. Unfortunately, within 3 minutes we conceded to a shot that flew into the top corner. So, 1-1 at half time and feeling confident, we managed the second half much better until a huge deflection off a defender made it 2-1 to Ramsgate. We pushed on and both John and Woody came close in the dying seconds. All round, it was a good performance.

Our next game is against Herne Bay at Belmont on Monday 31st July, kick off 8pm.
