Whitstable Town took the squad over to Aylesham to play Canterbury Mariners full of confidence and apart from a shaky start where our keeper had to make an early save we looked solid at the back and in midfield. We went 1-0 up in the first half, with John scoring the goal, and again a smart save just before the break ensured that was how the half ended. Changes were made at half time and the team looked even more solid, and a second goal was scored, by Ged. We looked solid at the back for most of that second half, marshalled by Steve the player manager, apart from a couple of shots that were dealt with by our keeper. He was pleased with the squad, especially the performance and is looking to take the same squad to Ashford on Thursday night for the penultimate game in the league. COYR
