The 2021-22 Velocity Trophy will shortly commence. This competition had a group stage when last held in the 2019-20 season and did not take place during last season, which was brought to an early close due to the pandemic. This time, it is a straight knock out competition and the games will be decided by penalty kicks if scores are level after 90 minutes. Five substitutes can be used in these matches.

Entry was voluntary and 60 teams will take part, with Premier Division clubs starting in the Third Round. The draw for the First Round has been made, with the 12 games due to be played by mid-November. Whitstable Town have received a bye, so will start in the Second Round.

The Second Round draw has also now been made, with games due to be played by 8th December. Whitstable were drawn away to Herne Bay or East Grinstead Town. It will be a trip to our local rivals, who beat East Grinstead 6-1. This game is now scheduled for Tuesday 11th January.
