Whitstable Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Jeremiah Gyebi ahead of the new season.
Gyebi arrives at The Belmont with strong experience at Step 2 and Step 3 level, having featured across the National League system and Isthmian League, as well as gaining valuable experience in different environments throughout his career.
A commanding centre-back, Jeremiah has previously represented Yeovil Town at youth level before going on to gain senior experience with clubs including Poole Town and Barnstaple Town. He has also spent time abroad on loan in Slovenia and Sweden, further broadening his development in senior football. He then enjoyed successful spells at Enfield Town and Hungerford Town.
More recently, Gyebi was a part of the Dover Athletic squad in their 2024/25 campaign that saw them promoted back to Step 2, further strengthening his reputation at a higher level of non-league football.
He also arrives at The Belmont with existing connections within Lee Martin’s squad, having previously played alongside a number of players now at the club, which will help him settle quickly into the dressing room.
Strong in defensive duels and comfortable in physical battles, Jeremiah brings athleticism, presence and competition to Lee Martin’s defensive options ahead of the new campaign.
Manager Lee Martin said:
"Jeremiah is a player we're really pleased to bring in.
"He’s got good experience at Step 2 and Step 3 level and has been part of successful environments, including a promotion campaign with Dover.
"He knows a number of the lads from previous squads which will help him settle in quickly, and he’s someone who adds real competition to the group.
"He’s a strong defender, wants to improve and we’re looking forward to working with him this season."
Everyone at Whitstable Town would like to welcome Jeremiah to The Belmont and wish him every success in an Oysters shirt.
