The latest changes to the playing squad ahead of the signing deadline

Following the appointment of Andy Drury as Whitstable Town manager, it is a busy time at the club ahead of the player registration deadline tomorrow evening.

New signings so far include the following:

Scott Doe
The experienced central defender who featured for Hythe Town earlier in the season has signed for Whitstable. His former clubs include Weymouth, Dagenham & Redbridge, Boreham Wood, Billericay Town and Dover Athletic.

Andy Drury
The manager has also registered as a player for Whitstable.

Jack Hanson
Young midfielder Jack joins from Ashford United. He came through the youth set up at Dover and played briefly for Sittingbourne in 2020. Jack started this season at Cray Wanderers before moving to Ashford.

Veron Nzinga
Veron is a young left back who moves to the Belmont from Margate, after featuring for the Thanet club in their Velocity Trophy semi-final win last night.

Jack Miles
Not a new signing, but Jack makes a welcome return to the club after a short spell at Guildford City.

Adam Highsted
Adam has signed as goalkeeping cover. He made 22 appearances for Whitstable in 2016-17 and has played for a number of other clubs including Whyteleafe, Beckenham Town, Sheppey United, Hollands & Blair and K Sports.

Departures:
Junior Baker, Mohammed Kamara, Callum Watts and Zak Bryon have been released and we thank them for all of their efforts whilst playing for Whitstable and they leave with very best wishes for the future from all at the club.

Any further news will be communicated on the website when available.

A reminder that the team travel to play Haywards Heath Town on Saturday, which is “Non-League Day”. The hosts have arranged a number of additional food and drink outlets on the day, with half price entry before 2pm. The team would appreciate your support if you can make it.

The postponed home game against Chichester City will now take place at the Belmont on Tuesday 5th April at 7.45pm.
